Real life hero for migrants

Bollywood actor’s social media timeline is being flooded with requests from people stuck in various corners of the country urging him to send them home and reunite them with their families amid the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown.It all starts with a tweet. A worker tweets him about his plight and he always replies politely and tells them that they will be sent home.Here are the tweets.

Journey from being an engineer to an entertainer is inspiring. The handsome hunk kick-started his career in the entertainment industry with South Indian films.Sonu Sood made his big Bollywood debut with Shaheed-E-Azam, as Bhagat Singh in 2002.With the nationwide novel coronavirus lockdown, Sonu Sood came forward and helped migrant workers reach back home in UP and Bihar. Last week, Sonu arranged buses for migrants after obtaining special permissions from the Uttar Pradesh government. He also organised multiple bus services for workers who could travel their way back home and finally see their families after nearly two months.

Several people from Maharashtra as well as other states tweet to Sonu frequently asking for his help to travel home.The ‘Simmba’ and ‘Dabangg ’ actor has been garnering praise on social media for his tireless work to make sure that the migrant workers get home.A video posted saw Sonu sending the migrant workers from Mumbai to UP and Bihar in three huge buses.
